Yah, wanted to make a picture version of that icon for some while now. Originally this was only some quick pencil-sketch, then I messed around with gray-scalish copics to just experiment with shading a bit, then I got bored and messed around even more with lines and swirls and things and suddenly it looked way more goth and dark-around-the-eyes-ish than ever planned...
Still, I somehow like this kinda coloring, so I just kept it that way. Perhaps I'll add another version with the usuall bright and shiney colors. Perhaps. I don't know.

I like this alot the swirls to me are awsome and I`ve always loved the dark-ish style (like not freaky but not happy doode bunny cupcake ya know?)

Hey this is very orginal, lol, "used to be an icon" . Very nice adaptation. Its interesting u didn't use the same colors as the original one, it looks different but also great !!!

I'm not completely sure. included it into the icon he made me, so I put it into the picture too...
Actually I'm pretty fond of certain kinds of wine and I'll only drink them out of a glas fitting the kind of wine...

Waaahhh der Copic-Stil ist ja wohl einfach nur atemberaubend geil! Welches Papier hast du benutzt? Meins überlebt einen so starken Copic-gebrauch nie 
Die Farbgebung zusammen mit diesem ultrageilen -.- Ausdruck ist einfach nur cool ^^ das wird auf jedenfall ge

Uhm, normalerweise benutze ich Marker-Papier von Copic (heh, passt ja irgendwie zu Copic-Stiften 
Das Bild hier hab ich allerdings in nem ganz normalen Skizzenbuch gemalt, relativ dickes Papier, ich schätze mal so 140g/m² mindestens...

Hoppla, das ist dann eher doch nicht so viel...
Bei Markern braucht man ja leider viel zu viele, wenn man mal Schattierungen machen will... ;;
Ich hab da immer in Bildern vorausgeplant... einfach mal ein paar verschiedene warme oder kalte Grautöne gekauft und dann eben ein paar Graubilder gemalt. Mit der Zeit smmeln sich die Dinger dann an... ich glaub ich hab jetzt so um die 80...

But to refer to your "new" colors style... this is something I am always afraid of - to make the artworks "less colorful"!

Nah but seriously, trying out new things can bring up a lot of motivation when you're tired of doing the same stuff over and over again. Uhm, like I did for some while now. And as soon as you'r more familiar with a new experiment you can integrate it into your old style and create yet something new.

It's really cool, but can I just suggest one thing? Reeeeaally enhance the black outlines. It looks like one of those images that should just 'pop out' at you and a really strong, defininging black outline would help a lot in this respect

I did some rather thick outlines around the character, I guess they kinda got lost in the little contrast of the rather dark colors and in the scan in general...
