Hey there! Newbie to the site here, just walking around, looking at the museum of art here in deviantART. I have to say, that artwork is simply amazing. I couldn't have done it better myself! Keep up the good work!

Wonderful work! Some insane marker skills you have (you are so lucky to have copics...) and a very interesting concept.

I just can't get enough of your style, and the way you color is mind blowing. Yes, Tink is Pimp. Mind if I join him?
Superb coloring techniques.

Wow.... this is so awesome. What brand of markers did you use? (Or is Copic the brand? never heard of that) I have a few markers that bleeds gently like that, but shame on me, I never use them. Upon close examination, I can really see how well you blended them all together and even created a sort of wash. A shame that little bits bled into other areas, but what can you do? That happens with those markers
My personal fav in this is how you did the thick grey wires- especially that one that comes in front of his tail. It just looks so.. realistic/shiney/smooth/detailed
Fabulous job ^_~* Well worth the time and effort, I'd say

Thanks for the comments so far everybody!
@ : I did indeed color him a bit of a darker shade he really is. I had done images of critters in dark cramped places before and whenever I made the mistake of coloring them too brightly it somehow didn't appear to be right, as if youphotographed somebody on a bright day, then cut him out of the photo and pasted him on a night-picture. If he'd have white scales I think I'd color him at least a medium gray in there to make him appear to actually be in that pit...
@ : That's the problem about this way of drawing, it definitely takes too long for a daily strip or something. I figure I take about one day for a picture like this if I consequently have the idea, sketch it, clean it up, ink it and then hand-color it to be a full-color A4-page. However, I thought about a comic like a big album comic, large-sized pages, many of them and a finished storyline to work on that thing however long it might take but then have it finished somewhen...

Ooooh.... Aaaaaahhh...
I really like the picture, although I'm not sure if I liked it with color or without more: it was excellent as line art.

I remember that doodle! wow, the colouring's awesome... I remember you mentioned something about doing something like this for your comics. That's take feckin' ages to do! it's worth the effort for single pictures, and the comics would look amazing if you took the time to do that... but i doubt you could be bothered to do that... I know I couldn't... But, whatever. I think I've lost myself in this comment... This is GOOD! *rolls around on the floor and falls off a cliff*

I'm glad you colored this because it's such an awesome drawing!! Though, I always imagined him a somewhat brighter shade of green. o.o
