"Wh-What do you want to talk about?" I stammered as Blaze held onto my shoulders. "You KNOW what I want to talk about, Sonic," Blaze said. There severity of her voice was making me feel sick inside. Was she breaking up with me? Had she believed what she saw last night? Was she breaking up with me because of what she saw last night? "Sonic...last night, I saw you...I think I saw you...covered in fur...and...oh, I think I was seeing things...but I don't know," Blaze said. I begun to sweat. "Was that you?" Blaze said. "Listen, Blaze...every night, I turn into this thing...it's called a werehog," I said. I paused here, looking at Blaze, waiting to see if she reacted. She nodded for me to continue. "And...I become taller and buffer and I get fur...claws...cleats...fangs..." I said. Blaze folded her arms across my chest. "Um..." I said. Blaze looked at me. "Why didn't you tell me this before?" Blaze demanded. This is what I dreaded. I looked at my shoes. "I...um...didn't...think...you'd...understand..." I stammered. Blaze embraced me. "Shut up," she hissed at me. I raised my eyebrow. "I love you. You are my boyfriend. I'd understand everything you'd do (unless you started smoking pot)," said Blaze. "What?" I asked. "Sonic, even if you were a blood sucking vampire, I'd still love you, is what I'm trying to say," Blaze said. "WAIT UNTIL TONIGHT! You might change your min-" I began, but Blaze slammed her lips against mine and slipped her tongue under mine.

We finished about a minute later. "So...last night, when you said you had to vomit and you ran off...?" said Blaze. "That was when I was going to transform. I didn't want you to see because you'd freak," I said. Blaze shook her head. "Show me tonight," said Blaze. "Emerald Coast." She turned and left. I was scared. But also happy. This was like a date, but a date where Blaze might be scared and run off. The sun set. I raced to Emerald Coast. Blaze was there, the wind blowing her beautiful hair. "I'm ready," she said. My adrenaline was racing. I was so scared. I felt like puking. We stood there and waited. The sun started to set. The street lights turned on. It started to get darker. I winced at the gnawing insides. The sun was now completely gone. I sank to my knees. Blaze freaked then. "ARE YOU OKAY!?" she roared. "It's...okay...I'm...this...is...normal..." I choked through toothaches of my two canines as they prepared for the extension into fangs. I was shaking all over. I looked at Blaze's feet, feeling sicker inside because she was witnessing this. My skin pricked and I felt fur appear. My ears ached as they curved into their familiar dog-like appearance. My gloves ripped as I developed massive hands and claws. My shoes became cleats. My teeth became fangs as they ripped from my gums. I screamed in agony. Blaze recoiled. To her (like I said earlier) it sounded just like a howl. My transformation was then complete as I continued to howl. I looked at Blaze, panting. My insides were relaxing. Blaze was looking at me with what I recognized instantly as fear. NO! I looked at her. "Blaze...it's okay!" I cried. But my voice change then crossed the line for her. She turned and ran off.

I moaned and collapsed and buried my head into the sidewalk, feeling the tears come. I was heartbroken. Blaze lied. She didn't understand. I banged my fist into the sidewalk. I clinched my teeth in sorrow. "Sonic! SONIC! What's wrong?" said Chip's voice. "She...didn't...under...stand," I sobbed. Chip heard the close-to-tears sorrow in my voice. "Hey! Don't cry! Everything's going to be okay! Want some chocolate?" said Chip. My hedgehog tongue craved it, but my werehog stomach craved deer meat. As a werehog, my tongue enjoyed the taste of the normal stuff, like chili dogs and things, but the second it hit my stomach, it would disagree. My stomach wanted the stuff wolves ate. My tongue wanted the stuff humans ate. It was agonizing. "Chip...if...I...eat...that...I...get..." I bawled. "OH, SORRY!" said Chip. He hugged my arm. "It's okay, buddy. Want me to go talk to her?" said Chip. "Nngh," I wept. "Okay!" Chip said, flying off.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed a voice. I lifted my head instantly, thinking it was a cry of help. But then I was knocked to the ground. "FEARSOME BEAST! YOU WILL PAY!" screamed a familiar voice. "Silver?" I grumbled. I was pulled to my feet by Silver's telekinesis. "HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!?" spat Silver. I turned to face him. Silver saw my green eyes. He froze. "You're the blue hedgehog who was going out with Blaze!" Silver said. "Duh!" I cried. "What happened?" Silver said, his battling stance calming down. I ran off. "STOP!" Silver roared. He pulled me back via telekinesis. I looked at him. "Wow...you look horrific," Silver said. "LOOK WHO'S TALKING!" I spat. Silver scowled. I extended my arms to punch Silver. He collapsed and I was dropped to the ground when he lost contact with me. "FAG!" Silver spat at me. I pounced on him and bit him. "STOP!" screamed a voice. I jumped off and turned. There stood my baby girl.

"BL-" I began. "This is why I ran off," Blaze said. She sounded close to tears. My compassion kicked in. I reached for her. She rejected and turned away. "This is why I got scared. Because you said you become a werehog, and you become a beast. That means you want to kill and eat everyone," Blaze wept. "Baby g-" I began. Blaze shook her head. I remember what Chip had told me. "YOU'RE the reason you haven't changed at all! You never give into the day, or the darkness inside your heart! I think that's because I knew that about you. or something like that. Chip was right. Even though I was a hideous monster outside, I was still myself inside. Blaze turned around. I looked behind me. Silver had left. "Blaze! At night! I'm still myself!" I said. "PROVE IT!" Blaze screamed. I extended my arms and grabbed her. She was screaming. She burnt the fur on my arm with her pyro. I yelped. I grabbed her again. I pulled her closer to me. I wrapped my arms around her. About a minute later, Blaze relaxed. She knew it then. She realized I still was myself and still loved her as a werehog. She felt it. She smiled contentedly. "You're warm," she said. I smiled. "Yep," I said. "As warm as me when my inner flame kicks in," Blaze said. "I love you," I told my baby girl. "I love you, too, Sonic," she told me. She pulled away and looked at me. She stroked the fur on my arm. "Fuzzy," she said. I smiled. She grabbed my head and pulled me to her lips. And we kissed. When my tongue met hers, she winced. My tongue was WAY different as a werehog. She giggled slightly, as if she preferred my werehog tongue over my hedgehog tongue.

I felt so happy. "You're a cute puppy," Blaze said when we let go. I blushed. "So! See what I can do!" I said. I extended my arms and grabbed a bouquet. My arm came back and I handed her the bouquet. Blaze blushed. "I LOVE YOU!" she cried, smelling the bouquet. "Heh, heh, I love you too my princess!" I said. Blaze grabbed my hand and examined it. "Claws," she said. I extended my arm to a tree and scratched it. It left deep incisions. Blaze giggled. I think she thought I was SEXY as a werehog. I blushed. "You're so sexy like this," Blaze cooed. I went scarlet. "Heh, heh," I said. "Not that you're not sexy as just a normal hedgehog, of course," said Blaze. She put her arms around me. "Fangs," she said, lightly touching my fangs with her finger. "Perfect for giving a certain kitty LOADS of hickies," I said flirtatiously. Blaze giggled again. "OH, YOU!" she roared at me. If it weren't for the vow we made to never-do-it-before-marriage, we would've made love right on the spot. "So tell me what happened," Blaze said. I grabbed her and pulled her to Emerald Coast and told her everything, from getting the curse from Dark Gaia to meeting Chip. "So we need to defeat Dark Gaia to get rid of the curse?" Blaze said. I nodded. "I don't want to. You're sexy like this," Blaze said. "I know," I said. I didn't bear tell her Full Moon Transformations hurt like crap. We then fell asleep on Emerald Coast, with Blaze's head on my chest.

Blaze shook me awake. "Oh?" I said. "You're normal again! And where are your shoes and socks?" said Blaze. I shrugged. "They tear when I transform," I said. Tonight was a full moon. Blaze was going to be horrified. "Come on! Let's go eat breakfast together," said Blaze. She grabbed my arm. At our table at the restaurant, Blaze looked at me. I looked zoned out. "Something wrong?" Blaze asked me with concern. "Nah," I lied. Blaze shook her head. "Sonic, you lie an awful lot to me. Are we really in lov-" Blaze began. "FULL MOON TRANSFORMATIONS HURT LIKE A BITCH!" I bellowed. Blaze grimaced. "Really? Did you HAVE to cuss?" Blaze spat. "Sorry, but it's true," I complained. Blaze grabbed my hand under the table and stroked it. Just as our food came.

After breakfast, we didn't say much to each other. "Are you mad at me for cussing?" I said. "No," Blaze said. "Why aren't you talking to me?" I said. Blaze shrugged. I grabbed her and howled. It sounded cheesy as my normal self, not like the awesome howl of the werehog. Blaze giggled and kissed my lips. Her tongue met mine then. Blaze giggled through a mouthful of tongue. We spent the rest of the day at Emerald Coast.

Night fell quickly. It was full moon. I felt like I was being tortured at full moon. I was literally SCREAMING as I transformed. Blaze was busy collecting seashells when she heard me screaming. She raced to me in full-panic mode and saw me cringing and twisting in the sand. "BABY! BABY! SONIC! SONIC! SONIC! SONIC! MY BOYFRIEND! MY PRINCE!" Blaze was screaming helplessly as I screaming in pain. She tried kisses and hugs, but nothing eased the pain. My legs felt like they were being stabbed. I was choking and screaming. "BABY!" Blaze sobbed. I felt like I was dying everywhere. I felt sick inside. Then the pain stopped. I was the werehog. Blaze helped me up and embraced me. "ARE YOU OKAY!?" she roared. "Yeah. Sugar cakes, I warned you about this earlier," I said to her. "I know, but I hadn't heard that. All I heard was 'HURT LIKE A *FEMALE DOG*!'" Blaze said. I laughed. She kissed me then. Then once again, our tongues met. We made out longer than we ever had then. It was the best moment of my life. The one I loved respected me for who I was. Even though I turned into a hideous dog each night. I love you, Blaze the Cat <3
