Description
Acrylic on 12x16 canvasI'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I loved
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Chorus to Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway"
Interpretations are not only welcome but encouraged. How does this piece make you feel? What would you say that the figure in the middle represents and/or is feeling/experiencing?

Wow this is really impressive. I wish I was that good with painting. I don't think that adding to the figure more would be a good idea. I think it works really well with the simple figure, and the complicated background. Great Job!

this is beautiful i like it the way it is. i think if you developed the figure more it would detract from the balance of the piece.

You're right. Just going to leave it alone. Changed the description so please read it - it would be great to hear what interpretations you might come up with!

well with this piece i see freedom with the uniform chaos of life. kinda like a birth of a soul. pure energy yet confined to the corporal shape of a human. a boundlessness to it yes all wrapped up in a nice neat package. ya. some paradoxical stuff.

thank you. i think the name doesn't really fit this piece. so maybe a name change is in order. i kinda suck at naming my pieces most of the time. maybe this could be something along the lines birth of freedom or like free energy.

usually i can think of a title fairly quickly, or a word that comes to mind and then i try to make a creative name from it. something that helps is looking up different words in thesarus.com so that you can come up with a word that isn't commonly used, but would fit nicely with your piece.
