Description
The most painful thing I've been faced with this year is having to let go...I'm still working on it.Media: Colored pencils & black pen on 14x17 bristol paper
Time: 25-30 hours

Nice. And probably the nicest ( i hope i wrote it right) thing about it, that this "Letting go" still has a hope. Maybe because of this bright blue colour

It's alright Michelle you're not alone ... I'm experiencing the same thing though ... But the painting is so beautiful and so full of life ... It's not really dark or aggressive ... it just shows that you're still beautiful from inside... and this will be even appreciated by someone else you know

I love the wings, they look like they're about to eat her!!
This is more of a personal preference, so feel free to disagree, but I think that the wings have such amazing detail and contrast that they overwhelm the figure, which is sort of sad, as the pose is very interesting. Some darker shaddows might help to bring out the figure more.. you have some, but maybe a little more between the elbows and knees?? Like I said, personal preference, you make the call. it really is a very intersting and beautifully executed piece

I must say I love the concept, the way you've put it up and the way you coloured it. I know how hard it is to color anything with pencils, and not only you made it this picture a living thing, also the colors and lightning are balanced

Thank you so much, I poured my heart and soul into this piece, it's been a long time since I used colored pencils. And you're right - they're hard to work with but the result is always worth it in the end
