Aww yeah, new style!!!
I wanted to redraw Trent's design. Now he has a black coat with popped collars, and the same scarf. I got rid of the undershirt and hat, and I improved the anatomy to make him look more like an absol (Did I forget to mention that before, Trent didn't have a nose???
).Now for the new style:
Well, this style was inspired by several artists. I use a second shading layer, use gaussion blurX2, and I add small details to hair, inspired by 's art. Next, I use a bright purple for shading, add little lines to the hair, use some nice, blurred lit spots on the character (plus little white dots on them too), and I erase part of the shading so it fades, inspired by 's new way of doing the Slightly Damned comics. And finally, I added a little line behind the nose, and used bigger anime eyes instead of cartoon eyes, inspired by 's way of drawing Bittersweet Candy Bowl. (With dogs, I also improved the snout to look better.) I added all these little things to my style, and voila! New style!
I love their art, and I have much to learn about drawing characters. Thanks so much!!!!
Oh, and now I have decided to (in addition to doing a faded layer with my "8D" signature) to write in little places my signature and the date I finished the piece.
This way I can look at my improvement over the years!Art, Trent(c)me
