Description The skies look bleak and meager
They hold no joy for the sun
They come, covering all light
As a rolling blanket covers us from the atmosphere

We are all glum in its cage
Performing it’s maze without question
As the clouds continue on this wretched day
Stealing our hope for warmth

The soft cloth against my chin feels rough
As another tear from the sky falls
Does it want me to be miserable
Or is it sad that it can’t be any other way

I hold my own hand today
I snuggle with my own arm
Maybe today will just be a lonely day
As the skies look bleak and meager
