As the curtain draws...As the actors leave the stage...
The applause is faint and dulled by the heavy robe.
Again, the cast takes the stage for the bow.
The audience is revealed with prior hesitation...
The applause rings again, with cheers...
Flowers are thrown, and hats are raised.
The crowd is on stance...
The actors scurry to the to the wings,
And take their props to the gathering table...
They dismantle the facade of characters...
They push the leavings aside...
And now they will go,
Out to the lobby..
And meet the warm faces...
Singing their praises...
