The snow was slightly drifting
Down and to the right
The lights were low on the street
Everything covered in white
And the voice in my ear
Was that of devotion
And I’ll remember this day
As the day I won emotion
The day was bright early on
And a bustle of people streamed
All through the downtown
They were happy or so it seemed
I never thought a perfect day
Could bring so much perfection
But this day would bring so much more
A complete and loving affection

This day will be remembered
I shall never simply forget
Because it was on this day
I left all my past regret
I took a chance at something new
Something old, and something used
And my heart held the pressure
Even with it torn and bruised
That day I took a leap
That day I learned to speak
That day I learned to love
That day I learned to live
