Description
Once upon a time there lived a little boy
He lived with little shelter over head
He was very sick and none looked to him with help
He soon became so ill he went to die in a field of lilacs

As he lay down in the meadow
His mind rolled backward as if he was falling
He fell into the water and was pulled out by a woman
This woman was Nature, beautiful, and benevolent

The boy was crying not understanding
Nature carried the boy to a knoll just beyond the beach
She sat him on a felled tree and said
"There is no need for you to worry of life, I am here with you"

The boy wiped his eyes and instantly felt renewed
His cares of sickness left, and he smiled
As he looked to the water it was an ocean
And the tears that had gone to the sand made mirrors

The boy looked into the last mirror
It showed himself, crying and coughing
The boy felt sick and Nature came beside him
"That is behind you" she said and she turned him around

She led the boy beyond the knoll
He soon forgot of the mirror and the beach altogether
He soon came upon a tree glittering with ice
Yet there was grass, green and warm

The boy, alarmed, asked Nature
"How can this be" as he moved to touch the tree
Nature came beside him and blew on the ice
It turned and golden leaves unraveled from the ice

The boy amazed looked to Nature
"You are beauty, kindness, and warmth"
Nature simply nodded and sat him down on a root
"My boy, you are mine, and I wish you to be warm"

The boy lay against the tree and soon fell asleep
As he open his eyes, he was not near the tree
He was in his far shelter and smiled
"Nature is with me and I am good"
