As I let go of my emotionIt shatters on the floor
Like tiny little fingers
Scratching on the door
You can barely hear
The inaudible cries
As yet another hope
Slowly withers and dies
I smile every day
Yet cry every night
When will hope stand firm
Just within my sight
When will the window sill
Hold things from my past
Things that are good
Thing that hold fast
Will the overwhelming thought
Ever truly dissipate
The thought of never ending sorrow
Which has been cemented as of late
I suppose for now I'll cower
In the corner of my room
Hoping that tomorrow
I'll be rid of this horrid gloom
