Description
This is the winter of my discontentAs the leaves will soon turn colors and fall
They will wither under the soon to follow snow
The trees will then be barren and hold no greener pastures
The land will turn icy, and cold
Leaving no comfort as I lie in it needing warmth
The sun will be cast as a dieing need
It will be no source of heat
As the wicked cold will seep into my clothes
Leaving my fingers numb
And my teeth chattering
I could write how it will be the coldest winter ever
But in relativity, it won't be
Again, it will be a shrewd and awakening reminder
There will be a spring, too far away
And though the cold brings me closer to the fire
It will push away the nature of nature
Now I shall batten my fortress
And leave behind an angel in the grass
Soon to be covered by the frosty mistress
And though an angel in the snow can be made
It will be white, pure... unhuman
This is the winter of my discontent
No comfort or warmth
But a season of chaos
Much like those that precede it
Goodbye greener pastures
Hello barren trees
I will miss your green
