thanks - that was an early piece in response to the works of Ernst Fuchs, but frankly, it has always been in me, just the Viennese School provided a philosophical home for me....

Not consciously, but yeah, now that you mention it, there is something very 'tribal' about it! I just can't leave blank surfaces alone, and the spiralling designs are really universal in nature, ingrained in our subconscious as part of the inner self....
