Why? I see this more as art than a lunchbox next to a toilet in a blank white room. Just as any person with sense would, but slap some famous artist's name on it and suddenly people rave about how "thoughtful" and "evocative" a piece it is. What they really mean is they have no idea what to think but refuse to appear confused or in some way uneducated.

You might want to consider that this photo hasn't even got a proper camera focus on anything in it.. I'm sure a lot of deep fore thought went into doing this shoot..

I have no doubt that there was a lack of thought put into this. I also consider one of the requirements for something to be called art is the ability to elicit an emotional response other than confusion. I daresay this picture succeeded.
