I REALLY like this. It's an excellent design, very curvy and bulbous as opposed to my harsh lines and angles. Perhaps you'd like my style?

I liked some of your work! I also do some angular craft as well, but I've just got to finish some of them.

I'm really digging your spaceships. Smooth smooth lines! Tell me about your inking technique!

My inking technique is rather simple, I try to hold a firm & constant line in one movement. Never do I go back over the same line( unless I make a mistake...which I OFTEN MAKE WORSE, or I need a thicker line) I like to keep it simple!! Like an anime cel or like drafting.
I use different pens with different line weights, depending on the details.
I use several different makes of pens:
Pilot Fineliner (about a 0.3)
Staedtler Triplus Fineliner (about a 0.5~0.6)
Lots of Alvin Penstix(0.3, 0.5, & 0.7)
For very fine lines I use Sakura Pigma Micron
(in 0.1 and 0.2).

I like it. It looks like the prison ship from "Lilo and Stitch," but with a better paint job (and more engines).

Sadly, I have never seen "Lilo and Stitch"!
I wanted a roughly "fishshape" to work with combined with a "cargo plane". From the start I wanted to do this ship with a clownfish color pattern( style over substance?) in mind, form followed suit.
I did the thumbnail while bored at work, at about a 2 to 3 inch size.

The original Lilo & Stitch was a fantastic movie. I saw it during my plane trip back from Kauaii, where, ironically enough, most of the action in the movie takes place. You should watch it sometime, as I think you'll like the designs of the spaceships, aliens, weapons, and other science-fiction elements.
My best thumbnails are done at a very small size, too. I then scan, rearrange, and print them for final tracing and inking.

The metallic shading is really awesome, and yes those golden/white alternate colors do give it the crownfish look.

Thanks! I really wanted the effect to come together, and I wanted a "loud" color scheme for a starship.
I figured a bussiness would want their ships to stand out.
This is a prototype image for this ship, it's one of many I'm working on for my "starship book" project.
