Gold plated wire, metallic threads, beads and purpose made 'sequins' on black felt.

It's my initial! I've found inspiration at last in textile work. I'd lost my way a little in drawing/painting and wasn't really doing anything different. But the commission for the Princess Royal, then the abstract pattern have re-ignited my love of textile work yet again. No doubt I'll return to drawing/painting, as if I could ever leave it behind, but for now this inspires me and enthuses me until I find the next source ... maybe they'll go hand in hand as I do have to draw some ideas rolling around in my head before they roll out and away ... also I think I have found a way to combine art and words, something I've wanted to do for a long while...we'll see how this goes.
