Description Watercolour and gouache on 300gsm watercolour paper.

An alternative past where Edwardian Ladies kept Tea Guardian Dragons as pets.

No time for a thorough critique, so a few points on this lovely piece.

1) There's apparently no one vanishing point/horizon line (or two or three vanishing points, if that was necessary). This is why the cup looks odd and is tilted in an odd direction from the saucer. They both seem added on to the body, which could use a vanishing point to relate to.

2) The dragon doesn't have any weight in that he doesn't affect the lady's clothes or shoulder or react to them as objects he is standing on. He should grip and the things under him indent or ruffle and have shadows from things like his tail.

3) Tilting the lady's head is a very strong touch. Nice job.

Overall, a nice piece, though -- excellent costuming, details and color choices.
