Would you be offended if I say I am more interested in the 'broken heart' rather than the artwork as a whole itself?
Though I love the strong contrast of her hair to the bleakness of the background. And 'Antithesis' sounds so cool as an artwork title.

It's common to see people like a certain aspect of an artwork, but you bring up an interesting question.
I can see where you're coming at though (maybe). It may appear I spent more time working on Koishi (or composition) but I can say it's about the same for the 'broken heart'. Just more time was spent sitting here, thinking of an a effect to balance the dark space around her than actual drawing.
To answer that question of yours, it'll be no. Also wish I thought twice before using that title...

I absolutely love this. She looks so frail and fragile here, it's almost adorable.

All I can say is ... this is just so perfect, I simply couldn't ask for any better. I love how you interpreted the scene so darkly - monochrome and sepia are my favourites, and here really draws you to the blood's bright red. The end result is just so eerie, the adorable and subtly creepy blended into one. The half-shattered heart-moon against the gloom mirroring her downy hair tops it off beautifully. Thank you so much. <3 This really made my day.
