What IS that?!
I couldn't help but notice at the end of "A Fistful of Energon" what was on Lockdown's chest. It seems to me to be a black-ed out Autobot emblem. WHAT?!?!?
In a previous episode "Thrill of the Hunt", in which was Lockdown's first appearance, the 'shape' was a square. Huh.
Lockdown also said he wasn't a part of any faction, and he pretty much just cared about himself. Right...
I don't know about you, but Lockdown seems too important (and kick-ass) to be just some regular kick-ass bounty hunter. I hope there's more of him in the future, and maybe someone will explain this to me!

I think the first one might have been an cheap attempt by the overseas animation studio to cover up an coloration error (the Autobot symbol).

it might have been a hint at who he was before he was a bounty hunter they just didn't give it away. Watch episode 35(if you haven't already) on youtube and you get a peice of his background

perhaps at one point along time ago before the great war he was possibly an autobot but like when he told ratchet in "thrill of the hunt" in the flash backs saying how decepticons pay more than the elite guards do. and loving more pay n getting to keep the mods special "trophies" without any rules he decided to not be an autobot? but yet not a decepticon. just works for the higher pay. and i guess perhaps when he was an autobot he use to do ninja academy?

hm well like he said hes more like a drifter i guess? maybe he just doesnt wanna feel like hes being held back by the symbol? bounty hunters dont usually like to put what symbol cause who knows..maybe an autobot will finally pay him enough to get one of the decepticons? *though might not happen* even though he does look like decepticon material. . . well have to wait to see if he does in season 3 xP

You're right, it could've been the torso of an autobot, but I seriously doubt he'd want one... I mean, I don't think he would wear it THAT long, since he had the same torso/chestplate thing from so long ago (Ratchet's flashback)...

Mabey he was a 'bot, got stuck in a twisted accident (Say mabey the marks on his face are more than his design...), blamed the 'bots but was too much a 'bot to become a 'con so he became a neutral. I noticed that too and pointed it out to someone but I don't who or if it was even DA.
