Personality:

Perceptive and sociable, Atticus enjoys keeping up with the current happenings both of his pack mates and of the world, and lives with an eye attuned to the needs of others. He will seek company with any wolf, regardless of social standing or their reputation among other pack members. With three years of leadership under his skin, and twenty-four years of living with Vronti by his side, Atticus knows how his brother falls short and strives to cover the areas of pack life the Alpha tends to neglect.

Atticus is clever and quick of mind, calm under crisis and able to adapt to shifting situations with remarkable speed. While not as physically strong as his brother, he compensates his battles with wit and agility. Atticus is trained in battle, yet he prefers to talk his way through tight situations rather than fight. The lesser blood spilt, the better. However, Atticus takes a harsher approach to discipline and is not hesitant to inflict pain when pain is due, and justly meted, for the sake of the other and the pack. He has a strong set of morals, and can be found to be stubborn when he sets his mind to a certain objective or path.

While Atticus is a wolf who projects an air of confidence in every task he undertakes, he does so to mask his insecurities. He is not naive to the fact that he is young and relatively inexperienced for the position he holds within the Astrapi pack, and Atticus often wonders if the respect others give him is more given in fear of his older brother, Vronti, than out of honour he has earned himself. With Vronti's excessive protection and prioritization, Atticus feels stifled, and can't help but think half the reason his brother elected him to Thane was to keep him under even closer watch. While he cherishes his brother as his closest friend, Atticus desires to establish himself as his own wolf, and strives to prove to the pack, his brother, and to himself that he truly deserves the honour of serving by Vronti's side.

Atticus was born to a family of three, consisting of his parents and his older brother, Vronti. They lived a common life in the city of Oston, uneventful by and large. Yet while Atticus learned strong morals from his parents, his mother often seemed disinterested in his life, and his father detached, and this caused a distance between them. His big brother Vronti was the only one who showed him genuine interest and concern, and Atticus returned this with attention the same, and the brothers quickly came to view each other as one another's closest friend.

From a young age, Atticus was intrigued by the world. He pursued learning and knowledge, and grew strong in thought and intellect as most of his peers strengthened themselves in physical ways. His quirky behaviour, along with his gangly looks while a boy, were the brunt of bullying. While most taunts against him were verbal, some escalated to the point of roughing up, and, while Atticus tried to pretend his scrapes and bruises were the result of friendly play, he knew he couldn't hide the truth from Vronti. The revelation of his bullying initiated a level of hyper protectiveness from Vronti that lasts to this day, and spurred his brother to not only defend Atticus against his peers' taunts and jabs, but to teach him how to defend himself with weapons and force rather than words.

When Atticus was 12, he left home with Vronti. In a few short years, Vronti's work was recognized by the High King, and Atticus quickly found himself left to seek a path of his own. While Atticus at first struggled with this change, he came to enjoy the freedom and independence which also became his. These few years proved vital to the youth, and as he stepped into adulthood, Atticus did so with greater confidence and eagerness for what the future held for him. He took a keen interest in weather tracking and herb use, drawn by the practical and intellectual natures of both practices, and flourished in these concentrations.

When Vronti approached Atticus with the High King's proposal of a charter colony, Atticus eagerly agreed to Vronti's invitation to join the crusade. The idea of seeing and exploring new lands attracted the youth, yet even more did the opportunity to show his brother just how much he had grown in the years Vronti had served in the King's court. Atticus thrived in the forest of Dontanos, and hid his desire to remain with Latreia Vouno from his brother when Vronti chose to follow Lord Beorn further North. Though he followed his brother in loyalty to the only blood family he had left, he silently pined to return to the life he had left in the Southern lands of Dontanos, enamoured by the inkling values they had begun to establish there - a secret desire that only strengthened as the journey to the highlands stretched over the months.

The desire only cemented when a great snowstorm blasted the mountainside and sent Lord Beorn and a great number of their colony to their deaths. Though deeply affected by the situation, Atticus held his head, and while Vronti began to step up in a role reminiscent of an Alpha, Atticus worked with tireless effort to soothe the fears and terrors amongst the wolves of Astrapi, realizing how much like family they had become to him, and being stricken with new guilt over his conflicting desire to leave.

When Vronti received the blessing of leadership from the High King of Oston, Atticus was not surprised to be named Thane, though he accepted the promotion with a pull of reluctance. While loyal to his brother and the wolves of their colony, Atticus' heart remained torn between his devotion to Astrapi Keravno, and the life he still pined for in Latreia Vouno. Yet seeing the pack in all their distress, and feeling their agony himself, Atticus has chosen to keep this longing a secret, and to serve the pack with every ounce of devotion he can give.
