If this looks a little blurry it can be viewed more clearly at full size.When told he had to pick the most recently watered cactus out of a lineup, Djehuti declared, "That's too easy... cacti swell up when they store water, so it'll be the one with the shallowest pleats..."
Aster rolled her eyes. "Good job, smartypants, now we'll all have to do this test blindfolded." And so Djehuti soon learned that his intellect wasn't enamored by all his classmates...
Disclaimer: Just because I did this doesn't mean you have to now be blindfolded for the test! Zagor could just water a different cactus to mix things up afterward.
...and Mesa is giving zero fux.
Thought I'd draw the whole Water class for this month, at least busts of them. Hope I portrayed everyone's characters fairly! Aster in particular isn't necessarily mean or grumpy by nature... but anyone can get annoyed when things are suddenly made more complicated for them...

Yep he definitely is that kind of student. And though he will still have hurdles to overcome, he's learned most basic magics and now is getting a grasp on what makes it work... for him at least!

Heh no problem, Zagor can just water another cactus to mix things up. And poor Aster is having a bad day, having to wear that dress she doesn't like after getting bit by her little brother all morning.

His name is the actual egyptian name for Thoth... but I can't make an ibis-like Wyngro except in color, so he is developing to resemble a bearded vulture more, heh.

Oh my gosh Aster looks like such a grump in this image! XD Normally she wouldn't act or say something like that, especially because she adores plants and learning about them. So she already knew that cacti swelled when they store water. However, she's still in the process of getting her younger brother used to her and that involves getting bit a lot - so she's not in the best of moods. Poor Djehuti happens to get the brunt of today's bad mood it seems.

No, no it can't be helping. Now I'm totally putting her in her dress when I finish my homework tomorrow. She'll apologize for her behaviour later, but right now she really doesn't care. And she's a nerd too, just mainly with plants and cooking.

They might get along well then, actually. Dje has a new interest in plants since Earth class, where he sprouted a strange magic plant he'd never seen before and couldn't find any reference to anywhere. He since lost the plant... but it might crop up again later.

They might. Aster would be happy to talk about various plants - both magical and mundane and would more than likely have several examples of each in her garden. (Which is huge) Just a warning though, she spoils her friends with homemade food - mainly their favorites once she figures what they are.
