In case you didn't know, I'll make you a quick summary.Ghostbusters '16 came out, the journalist Milo Yiannopoulos made a negative review about the movie, and Leslie Jones (one of the main actresses in the movie) was behaving like she was the victim. Milo pointed it out and then he got permabanned in Twitter for that.

Then the hashtag #FreeMilo was made.
Think about this for a second, if you look closer to some of Leslie's tweets, you'll notice that many of them are being racists. There is a small collection of tweets by her saying bullshit like "white people shit".

I fail to see how acceptable are Leslie's racist tweets while Twitter apparently disagrees with Milo of "Leslie playing the victim card". What's the matter? Is Milo's tweet the worst thing ever; but being a racist is okay?
If Milo is banned for that, then Leslie should be banned. OR, if Leslie doesn't get banned for that, Milo shouldn't be banned. Either way, we can't have these double standards, they're inconsistent and they have a lack of logic here.
Somehow I feel like soon there's gonna be a society where anyone can be banned just because was fucking offended for telling the truth than being a racist.

Leslie is a comedian. If she can't handle twitter trolls, then she's too weak for the spotlight.

Even as a comedian she should be able to take criticism seriously, not personally. If anyone's going to insult, they have to get ready to get insulted back. It's like an unwritten rule for the Internet.

I thought Milo was banned because it was perceived that he "sent his fans to attack Leslie Jones". It's perfectly fine to hate a movie, but the racist trolling from his fans wasn't uncalled for. It's not her fault that the movie she was in sucks.

Milo sent his fans to attack Leslie and then he was banned? Okay, that's surrealist. Why should be Milo responsible for what his followers did? Hypothetical question: If I had lots of followers and some of them were harassing Leslie in some way, why should I be banned?

Oh, I wasn't implying that he did sent his fans. Personally, I wish Twitter would of banned the trolls instead of Milo. I agree that Twitter should of gave some sort of "strike" to Jones for her tweets. I hate seeing people getting unrightfuly banned or trolled so #FreeMilo and #loveforlesliej (I'm a fan of both

1) Milo is a provocative, awful little shit himself who violated the twitter codes of conduct. You can argue they are inconsistent with their enforcement of policy and that's fair, but Milo is not some innocent little lamb himself.
2) Twitter is not the government. It's a private company and as such can ban anybody they want for any reason they want.

1) I never said Milo was an angel in any moment. Now that you speak of the codes of conduct, I agree with you in the sense that everyone should follow the rules, I'm reading this paragraph:
Hateful conduct: You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease.
Let's focus on the basis of race then, Leslie's tweets are saying bullshit about white people. Racism is discrimination or prejudice based on race. According to this, Leslie should get banned too, she's being provocative as well!
2) Of course it's not the government. But it's not just a private company, it's a platform that anyone can use to discuss things, say hello, etc. If a journalist can't make little jokes about a Ghostbusters' actress, then I don't know what is this platform about.
