Thoughts about the Character:

I thought Kayako would be part of a very professional assassin's group. In this group, to be able to control perfectly all the assassins they would wipe out all the memories and feelings from them, that way, they would simply obey without question, and the same thing happened to Kayako and she was one of the best assassin the group have ever trained! But unfortunately for the group. Kayako's mind seemed to work differently from the others, and she started regaining her own senses. The death of so many began to look pointless in her eyes and she started to question her own purposes, the most astounding thing is that, this was not the first time she regained her emotions, and in the other times they had to wipe her out again and again, but they were ok with it because even tho their resources had grown thin, there was not as many ways they could make the spell work on Kayako anymore, they didn't want to lose one of their greatest assassins.
But, Kayako would have it no more, this time she decided she would not kill another without a good reason and she ended up saving the victim and fleeing the scene, this marked Kayako for death in the assassin's group which means they would always come for her head no matter where she was but it didn't affected her decision, the girl she saved was but a child from a rich noble and his new wife, they wanted their newborn child to inherit everything but they couldn't do it because of the man daughter from the previous marriage and so they payed a fortune to have the girl killed. Kayako knew this was wrong and she wanted to give the girl away to some caring couple but she knew the guild would come for her too so it would be better for her to protect her. I believe the little girl was not as fragile as people might think, she has a strong personality and as soon as she saw the position she was in she wanted Kayako to train her to protect herself. The little girl never saw Kayako as a "savior" nor a "mother" figure and Kayako never thought of herself that way either, they were simply friends who became best friends and partners as their life became more and more entangled together.
