Thoughts about the Character:

I thought Nowe would have a bitter and pessimist personality, he absolutely hates humanity and is very much decided to make them suffer a fate worse than death. The only ones who can feel safe, for now, are the people who pledged their life to Nowe in total servitude and obedience. Nowe isn't specially evil with them, they have a city around Nowe's evil castle and mostly they can do as they please but the one thing Nowe cannot forgive is when any of his slaves empathize or, even worse, help anyone from the outside, aside from that, they can live their lives however they please and organize themselves in any way they want as Nowe isn't really interested in collecting taxes or funding a real-state of evil, after all, the thing he wanted the most was taken from him by unscrupulous and vile people and no money nor power can bring it back, Nowe knows this much and have accept this but the fact is that to make people suffer kinda of ease the pain and sometimes make them feel exactly as he felt and so he will not stop until everything goes back to ashes again.
As a side note, I thought Nowe would always laugh out loud whenever someone tries to reason with him, with all the bullshit that "doing this is pointless", "it would not ease your pain", "you are doing to other the same they done to you" because after all, that is the main reason why he tortures and destroy others.
