Hey everyone! From Friday, August 14th at 10 AM PST to Monday, August 17th at 11:59 PM PST, we are having a FREE 72-hour MYO event to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the spectrel species (August 16th)! Please make sure to review all of the info below, and let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Don't forget to have fun!

EVENT RULES:

- Your design may be digital or traditional, but must be colored (unless the design is monochrome).
- Your design must be entirely of your own creation, which means using bases, tracing, or having someone else draw your entry is not allowed. Your art skill is not a factor in your design being approved!
- Designs may be based on a character/OC which you have created, but not on characters you do not own or did not create.
- Designs are limited to common traits, unless you unlock others through the process detailed below.
- You may include clothing and/or accessories in your design.
- Designs made for this event may not be sold, only traded or given away.
- Each person may only submit one design for the event. Anyone found using alternate accounts to create more spectrels for the event will have their design(s) invalidated and be banned from the group.
Designs must be completed and submitted to the folder prior to the end of the event in order to be made official.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO JOIN! Anyone is welcome to create one (1) spectrel for the event, whether you are a FTO (first time owner) or not.

1. Review the two species sheets below and their descriptions to become familiar with the species.

Feel free to check out the OFFICIAL MASTERLIST for many different examples of spectrels!

2. Decide on your traits.

By default, everyone has access to common subspecies, and common spectra types. Your spectrel may only have ONE spectra type (even if you use tokens to purchase an uncommon or rare type).

FREE SUBSPECIES
Mammal (Common)

FREE ARM LENGTHS (Physical arms, not the ghostly ones)
Half Arms (Common)

FREE SPECTRA TYPES (ONE PER SPECTREL)
Tail, Horns, Spines, Mane, Talons, Ears, or Scales (Common)

3. (OPTIONAL) Complete tasks to earn extra traits.

By commenting on this deviation and fulfulling the tasks below, you can get tokens to spend on other traits. Keep in mind that through group participation, spectrel traits can be added/changed with group currency later on. If you are happy with common traits only, you may skip this step.

- Share the event through a NEW journal, poll, or status post. Please include the link in your comment. +2 TOKENS
- Tag 2 or more friends in your comment. +2 TOKENS
- Join the Spectrel Discord . Please include your username in your comment (numbers not needed for privacy). +2 TOKENS

Human or Dragon (Rare): 2 TOKENS

UNLOCKABLE ARM LENGTHS (Physical arms, not the ghostly ones)
No Arms (Uncommon): 1 TOKEN
Full Arms (Rare): 2 TOKENS

UNLOCKABLE SPECTRA TYPES (ONE PER SPECTREL)
Fangs, Tattoos, Tendrils, Tongue, Mask, Feathers, or Fins (Uncommon): 1 TOKEN
Elemental, Mineral, Eye(s), Halo, Eye Aura, Smoke, or Flora (Rare): 2 TOKENS

UNLOCKABLE SPECTRA TRAITS (Can be mixed and matched)
Glowing, Glossy, or Multicolor: 1 TOKEN EACH
Glimmering or Patterned: 2 TOKENS EACH

When you post your design, please link to your comment, and state which traits in your design you are purchasing with the tokens you earned!

4. Post your design and submit it to the FREE MYO EVENT folder in Spectrel-Hollow .

Make sure your design uses the traits that you are allowed, and submit it to the "Free MYO Event" folder ( www.deviantart.com/spectrel-ho…) by 10:00 AM PST on Monday, August 17th!
As long as a design is submitted to the folder on time and follows all guidelines, it will be reviewed and approved to become an official spectrel. On-time designs with issues such as forbidden or incorrect traits will be given a week long grace period to correct issues before becoming official.
