Description
For those not familiar with the man in the second panel: Nikola Tesla, as played by David Bowie, appears in the book and movie The Prestige. In an effort to make a teleportation machine, he instead creates a machine that makes an exact duplicate of something, only some distance away. Apparently, he's been tinkering with it some. This arc ends here; I'll leave it to your imaginations how (and if) any of the "copies" made it back to their original sources.
Coming next week: One of the most cracked out ideas I've had for the Roommates series. More than a little magic will be worked.

Imagine, running into your doppleganger just seconds after thinking, "Thank God I don't have a copy."
Very funny stuff...

This probably won't be the last we see of the "copy machine", just the last it's doing for now. There are far too many possibilities available to let it gather dust forever in the boiler room of the apartment building.

Curse you again. Curse my paper on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Three times curse that Ella Enchanted movie I saw yesterday. Once for sucking (I only let 31-year-olds play teens if It's on stage, and they aren't lip-syncing poorly). Once for being nothing like the book I like. And once for making me get the book and spend all day today reading it so I miss this. Screw that. Fiver times curse it. The fourth because I suddenly got an idea for Char and a nameless other prince with... similar transition errors... and the fifth because that other prince has had a story with a third nameless prince who's image I have in my inner shallow fangirl musedom won't be happy his picture with prince #2 gets skipped again so I have a damn headache and make no sense.
And the Elf needed a little love. Even if I never give it to him. He needs his copies Paris and William Turner Jr. (GIVE MY EIGHTH TEACHER HIS NAME BACK!)

And that was my first time watching it. (I saw a trailer and went They're doing THIS out of that book I read? Not watching. Then I did the exact opposite later on with a different book-turned-whatever and I knew it was going to be different.)

The following is an actual Bowie quote pulled from an online transcript in regard to his many characters...
'Crikey, Buster, how gobsmackingly presumptous you are! Do you
know how many f--king personas I get through a day!?! Do you have any idea
how crowded the dinner table gets in this house. And they all have their own
opinions. None of them mine. I bet you're not even one of them are you? Are
you one of my opinions? I thought not. Until you've walked in my shoes, or
rather, until I've walked in my shoes I should bloody well "shut up" until
I'm asked for my opinion, shan't I? I'm sorry, I have to go and see my
doctor. " - David Bowie.

Does it have something to do with the girls upstairs?
I'll be gentle on my transmissions to you until you're up and running.
Until again.

The girls will be involved eventually, but the initial problem is all the boys' own fault. I hope you enjoy it.
