A few weeks later I created this, my first "real" piece of pixel art, a small bonsai tree sitting in a planter. I really didn't follow any formal methods of educating myself or training, I just initially relied on advice from my friends who were, and were not artists, but as I went I eventually started turning to other more professional studies of color, animation, and perspective.
