Description

The Technology Original Standard Remote Camera used in the 2250s through the 2270s used a motion activated camera video recorder as well as local sensor system to record local data on planets. It could be attached to many different surfaces and was accessible by any Starfleet or Civilian science vessel in orbit to allow for observation without interference.

The camera had an internal power source that would allow it to operate for 2 years without recharging and could hold data for twice as long. It was fitted with an emergency internal destruct system to prevent local contamination as well.

I needed some kind of camera for the next arc of Tiny Trek and rather than go too simple, I knocked this out in about the time it would have taken to build the actual prop for the show and let the paint dry. It has no internal lighting or anything and the camera 'lens' is simple on purpose. Combined elements from the tricorder and the communicator for this.

I've provided the OBJ files for this. If you use it in something just drop me a credit or send me a note pointing me in that direction. Like I said it's a really simple prop and I won't lose sleep over it if you don't.

It's built to be about a ft wide, so when you import it into whatever program you use that's what to scale it by if you're going for the size I built it at.
