Description I'm so sad to find that this dear sweet man has passed on. His Redwall series has influenced my writing so much, and every book of his I own and treasure.
Bless you Mr. Jacques, and thank you for everything you have done for us.

My favorite quote from any of his stories...

That quote from Taggerung made me start crying so badly. He was my favorite author; I loved his stories more than Tolkien or Lewis.

Absolutely. Β He has influenced more than both combined, and they have influenced me quite a bit.

"Even the strongest and bravest must sometimes weep. It shows they have a great heart, one that can feel compassion for others."
-Redwall, book one of the Redwall Series, stated by Cornflower.

Brian Jaques was, no, is one of my favorite authors and he is the one that really got me interested in literature. Sleep peacefully, dear one, knowing there are many who will always love you.

That was a wonderful quote by Cornflower, and one that I considered for a stamp as well.

He has touched so many of us.

I'm so glad my computer has that audiobook on iTunes. Taggerung was always one of my favorites in the series, and this quote is absolutely perfect. I have also been influenced heavily by his works, and I am now even more determined to write as great a story as I can, if only to honor such a great influence.

This is such a beautiful stamp and a fitting quote! I also loved Brian Jacques and he too, inspired me more than any other author. I wouldn't be a writer today if not for Brian Jacques. The news of his passing definitely made me cry But at least his books will stay with us
Thank you for making this stamp, it made me feel better after reading it

I'm glad my stamp could get you through his passing. I feel it's not enough. I'm like you; I just wouldn't be a writer without him, and I always had the crazy notion that one day I'd be able to thank him face-to-face.

Yes, I always wanted to meet him or even send him a letter but I never did Maybe that's what saddens me the most (besides the fact that no more of his beautiful books are being written for the world).
One year though, he wrote the pep talk for National Novel Writing Month. I still have it saved and maybe I'll print and frame it And I should really buy an audio book with his own voice reading his own words, he was such a fantastic reader.
