Description
Lolah, Rache Bartmoss, and Spider Murphy.Chilling out after a hard days work 'liberating' vast amounts of information in the net.
This is supposed to be the 'net' world, see the grid pattern in the background? Yeah. Net.
Bit too industrial grunge and less netspace looking. Ahwell.
This took me a long time to do.
The PSD file looks better somehow...zah can't look at it for too long!
I think it's funny how the Matrix TOTALLY ripped off Cyberpunk, and Cybergen xD ALAS. D:

RPG Game synopsis for those who are interested:
This is set in the future after the Cyberpunk age where you play as kids fighting the evils of society and corrupt governments, and just struggling to survive in a cruel corrupt world.
A disease called the "Genetic Metabolic Disruption Syndrome" also known as ‘the carbon plague’ starts spreading. Victims are left as half-dissolved mounds of flesh and Hexite. Over the next month the disease moves across the country and into Canada and Mexico. Fatalities number in the thousands.
Some children survive the Carbon Plague. After time, some seem to demonstrate unusual and inhuman abilities. Authorities begin detaining them for medical observation. Many die while under their care.
The president declares plague survivors to be disease carriers and threats to the national health. A campaign of persecution begins against the "CyberEvolved" children, as media propaganda is manufactured, state bounties are posted, and police actions are mobilized. Both corporate and government groups start actively hunting the kids- some for research, others for containment and ELIMINATION.
The DSA (Domestic Security Agency) discovers the existence of the Eden Cabal, a group of former Cyberpunks who are sheltering Cyberevolved children and training them in anti-government tactics. Active elimination of this organization is begun.
Mere children are granted the ability to read minds, can speak and control virtual space and technology, heal people, have the capacity to create metallic weapons from their bodies, they have heightened reflexes, and have the potential to heal faster then any normal human.
You are evolved.
You and your friends are being hunted by government agents who want to put you under a microscope, kill you, or even try to capture turn you against your friends and to join there side. All while trying to make good grades, avoiding bullies at school, go to the mall, and have fun at a friend’s birthday bash.
Who can you trust?
Your parents? Your friends? Teachers? The police?
The time for change is now. Evolve or Die.

As one of the people who put a lot of effort into this game on the back end, thank you very much for making such great tributes to it. Looks great!

The Matrix didn't rip off Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is a genre. Of course there's going to be very similar elements. It would make more sense to say that Cyberpunk RPG rips off the writings of Philip K. Dick, and William Gibson. Saying "The Matrix totally ripped off Cyberpunk" is like saying that Dungeons & Dragons totally ripped off the Lord of the Rings...

This is my favorite of all your cybergen pieces.
It is fantastic to see there are still books coming out for Cybergeneration.
In fact my friend and I are about to start a game soon.
Shame about Cyberpunk v3. Lol.

I love your picture. Especially your version of Spider Murphy, who was/still is one of my favorite NPCs from the cyberpunk game. Yeah, Rache is cool and all (really really cool now, a real iceman you could say), but Spider Murphy is awesome.
Anywho, I love your series of cybergeneration images. It really captures the feel of what the game was about. I could never get my group to play it. They couldn't see what was so "cyberpunk" about a group of teenagers infected with nanites and being chased by a government that was more intent on terminating or using them then helping them...

The Matrix is cyberpunk, or was, until the second movie started messing that up. The graphic novels and Animatrix give some more cyberpunk without all that Keanu Reeves flying around.
Glad to see you creating cyberpunk, read through TZH and realized you had post-apoc down cold. You seem drawn to the same inspirations as I do. Feel free to check out the pages I've littered around [link] in the name of cyberpunk. It might amuse.
I'll keep going through your gallery, it's been rewarding so far.

This is my favorite of your CyberGen art. The color scheme is really good and I love your style. I can relate too the media as well because I run a game Cyberpunk 2020 which is the setting before CyberGen. Anyway nice work and i'ld love to hear more about your game and the characters and see more too.

You left out Shadowrun. There's another great RPG that has been left behind in the dust of online gaming. Most of this stuff was based on William Gibson's novels and concepts of "cyberpunk". Shadowrun and Cyberpunk had a lot in common with his novels and short stories, the first of which was published in 1984 I believe.
Films like Johnny Mneumonic and The Matrix were based largely on William Gibson's stories, so it's no surprise that they seem like they stole their ideas from those great RPG's.

I haven't played it in a few years now, but it was a great game. It was a nice mixture of magical fantasy and high tech cyberpunk settings.
I love a world where you can have elves with cranial bombs, orcs with wired reflexes, and a dragon for president! Poor old Dunkelzhan...

Cyberpunk was a great game. I never played any netrunner types myself but being the resource man I hired a lot of em to do dirty work for the team. I had heard that there was talk of releasing a new version of CP but that it never got off the ground because of some licensing dispute.
