Nah, I think the symbolism here is that everything that flies will eventually be supplanted by something superior. In this picture, the pile of wreckage shows how the jet engine rendered propeller planes obsolete and condemned to the junkyard. One day, the same fate awaits Dash, and her expression shows it.

"Du stirbst. Besitz stirbt. Die Sippen sterben." It's sad. But I don't want such fate to RD. Every literature or media character, if he hasn't been killed by author, become immortal. No matter what happened to him after the end of a story. So RD and the other M6 will never die for me - if their death is not written, it does not exist.

What you said here is very true! (There's several anime characters that I can't stand the thought of them growing old and dying, so they've ended up becoming immortal, or if they died in their respective stories, then I imagined a way to avoid their fates... ^ ^;; )
