Name: Neris (Last name Unknown)

Age: 23

Species: Water nymph

Personality: Secluded, serious, distrusting, loyal.

Backstory: Neris lived as a normal water nymph in a large lake. at the bottom of the lake, was tons of old debris. Among this debris, there was a large quantity of rusting oil barrels. One day the barrels broke, and began to flood the lake. Neris, along with many other nymphs tried to stop the oil from spreading, but to no avail. Soon they were all contaminated as the oil leached into their systems. A group of nymphs, including Neris, left the lake to find another water source, but the oil had already began to infuse itself into their systems. They found a spring, but the second they touched it, the water become infected with oil. The water nymphs who already occupied this spring were horrified, and quickly drove the others away. They became outcasts, because of the vain nature of the other nymphs, they were ignored, seen as ugly freaks, and left to fend for themselves. Many of the oiled nymphs perished as they searched for a new home, for they were still water nymphs, and thus needed a water source to sustain them. Neris found Silver Hill when she sensed it's underground springs. She soon became one of it's citizens, but she needed something to live off of. Every drop of water she touched became horribly infused with oil, even a puddle could become a thick black blotch. So she was given a breathing apparatus to filter water from the air around her and sustain her. Any of her previous abilities with water had been destroyed. But some of her watery former self can still be seen through the oil. Neris now works in Silver Hill by helping to provide oil to fuel it's machinery.
