There's actually lots of forms of Dedede.
(Mainly because he gets possesed by loads of villans of the series)

The Shadow Dedede is real.
He's one of the final bosses in a mode in Kirby Triple Deluxe
called
"Dedede Tour"
Where you Speed run the game as the king himself.

Shadow Dedede comes from a mirror dimension where everything had a dark copy.

i was hoping he wasn't real cuz  if i grew up with kirby and saw that i probably never play another kirby game ;v;
i don't know why but eyes like that creeps the beck out of me ;o;

Yeah.
I'm really glad I didn't start playing the games until I was much older(Twelve years old I think).
I'd probably be just as scared if I saw something like that when I was younger.

heh i'd still be scared because it's a similar fear as markiplier's fear of manikins 
i'm fine if it's just a ball like dark matter by itself or waddle doo but al lot other things are just nope

it's also sad because i like the designs of some of the bosses, but i cringe because of ether eye mouth or other unsettling eye things
