Description
Callico Briggs was an upstanding, remarkable she-kat who just happened to snag the mechanic, Jake Clawson's affections long enough to invite him to the Megakat City's Party (a celebration in Manx's reelection).

What she wasn't expecting, half an hour into the party, after spending all day at her usual hair salon, preparing her clothes, actually using her eye contacts, and basically being vain for once, was the unexpected disappearance of her promising date.

Of course, she had been aware of a massive robbery on the other side of the city (as Manx was too 'busy' to answer his own phone, naturally Callie did and found this out from Feral) and for the sake for a conversation topic, told Jake this.

Yet what did the robbery have anything to do with Jake's disappearance? Callie wasn't certain it had anything to do with him at all, but she couldn't remember what else she could have said that would explain his absence. She was keeping herself in check since she had picked Jake up (she took the initiative to do this as she was certain Jake wouldn't want to bring her to the party in his and Chance's tow truck) and knew she couldn't have come off strongly.

Unless it had something to do with what she had suspected the entire time...

As the party drew to a reasonable hour she could dismiss herself without strange looks, Callie walked to her car (willing herself not to run in her heels) and promptly tore out of her parallel parking job and hit the gas pedal.

If Jake wasn't at the scrapyard, she would wait until he and Chance returned in what was sure to be the Turbokat.
