Description
A college hw assignment - we had a 4-day weekend so we had to draw a 6-hour drawing of our favorite movie scene, we had the options of drawing it how it was or improve it. I chose this scene out of all the scenes of Clopin because of all the colors (plus I didn't want to draw Notre Dame in the bg ^^)I will get a better pic up when I get a hold of my mom's camera and uploading it, right now we're dealing with a webcam and iPhoto (I just boosted the color since the webcam isn't the greatest at catching it...)
It's approximately 15.5" X 14" and drawn in aquarelle and prismacolor pencils. It looks A LOT better in person I swear
Clopin (c) Disney
Original Clopin (c) Victor Hugo (but I don't like you because you kill him off TT)

Dang, that's some nice pencilwork! I honestly thought it was watercolor at first glance. A shame you can't get a better picture of it at the moment, but oh well.
(also, I have to ask; what resolution are you scanning and saving your work as? sometimes your digital work looks smudgy and a little pixelated at the edges, which is often the trademark of it being at too low a resolution. If you're doing it an lower than 300 dpi, you might want to switch to that or a higher dpi instead. It takes up more data and requires you to work with a larger area computerwise, but in terms of output it's worth it.)

I usually work at 300 dpi, I think it's because I have to transfer it to a jpeg to make it submit to DA. Trust me, it's annoying me too. I keep experimenting every time I post to see what happens and when I finally have it down, I'll fix the others along with it.

you actually don't have to transfer them to jpgs on DA. You can also make them tif or png files, which are a lot nicer than jpgs. I normally save my stuff as png files for web, most image sites can load those and they don't have near as much data loss as jpgs do.
