Really enjoying using this style, but it is quite... messy to be honest (and I might like to change that again)
This piece however, not sure about how it turned out.... The pose and angle might have been a bit too hard.
Was also trying out a different approaches to things like shadow and colour especially.
In short... I guess I kinda messed up this one
PS: I might have to open up these kinds of pieces for commissions.

the style this is in, would be great for an animation based off La Donna E mobile.... Coupled with the other pieces you have, Would turn for a great imagining.

Wouldn't call it messy, I think it looks quite detailed if you look at it in an overall perspective rather the focusing on specific parts.
Like the expression the most definitely. And the pose. Bit peculiar, but very nice nonetheless.

Got to agree with , it's a very interesting style. It's quite highly detailed in its 'messiness'. Not every part of the drawing has to be in sharp focus, after all. That blanket, to me, appears very detailed indeed. So does her face and her mane and the shadows her body casts. And I love that warm expression, makes the picture 'light' despite the predominantly dark colours. Well done!

Thank you, it's now certainly a style I want to continue exploring and playing around with.
I guess you're right, there's a certain kind of "detail" in my so called mess.
Something that get mentioned on one of my other works was "Impressionistic" Which could apply here.
Having enough detail to give the impression of what the different parts are.

It's a wonderful drawing and generally an interesting style. Some parts are "messy" as you said while others seem more detailed. For example, her wing and her face, respectively.
The shading/lighting within these overall dark pictures you recently made conveys a special atmosphere. It's kind of gloomy, but Fluttershy's smile here leaves a peaceful impression at last.

I think I've got to realise that it's already working without the "details" which I tend to get fixated on.
Maybe better to have less in this style, less details might have certain parts stand out more. Which can go the same for value and colour.
I find the style great fun to work with and I just have to continue enjoying it. It's great to hear the end result is enjoyed by others as well
