Hi everyone. Here in the Netherlands one of the corona measures is closing carehomes, homes for elderly people etc. for visitors. Husbands and wifes are seperated from each other, mothers and fathers from their children and grandchildren. This to protect the most vulnerable. It is very hard. Just looking at each other from behind the glass... That is why I made this drawing. Love from a distance with a little hope- spring is coming.
I hope everyone is safe and healthy. The Coronavirus affects so many of us. Take care of each other as much as you can

Let's get into details after the corona crisis, I still want to learn. For now I just go with it. Being in the moment and making this comic about what I see and hear.

Better to produce now and analyze latter, I think. But some fundamentals of composition may yet be kept in mind at all times - as those that apply to placement and avoiding tangents/near tangents/objectifying borders. Examples of the latter: when horizontals and verticals of the subject matter align in close proximity to the side and bottom borders of a panel or frame. Generally, the way to handle a tangent is to move the lines that appear to touch farther apart to separate objects they represent, or cross the the lines, to place one object in front of the other.
Develop an eye for identifying tangents and a skill for rooting them out, ruthlessly. They are the hardest things to see and deal with, even for top notch artists.
