Well I finally got off my ass and decided to create my final draft of this. The new camera also helped in the motivation.If you're wondering what I'm yapping about, you can find my first, (and inferior), version of this idea here [link]
Hope this one has made the other look like garbage cause that was the plan.
Took about 10 minutes of shooting and 4 hours of photoshop.

This is actually my second draft, my first was this one [link]
I took about 10 to 15 different photos of the picture with myself in different spots and then piled them onto each other and erased what I didn't want from the picture.

Practice makes perfect.
It really doesn't take that long to get the product, what takes the longest is cleaning it up so noone can find the seams where the different photos meet.

I see. I haven't played with photomanipulation much myself so I don't know much about the subject but that IS the most important thing. Otherwise it pulls people out of the artwork!

True, I never did think of it that way.
Although it is another form of artwork I do find myself not as into my traditional art as I used to be.
I'd blame the tablet more than the camera.

I think I may be going back to traditional for a project I'm planing but only for the sketch work.

I have a story that I've wanted to release but I can't seem to find the medium.
Originally it was going to be a graphic novel in anime but I'm not sure that's the correct form.
Still contemplating on some sort of dark realism or trying to adopt Frank Frazetta's style of paintings and making it more like a book with pictures here and there.
Either way I think I'm sure I'll have to go back to my pencil and paper sketchwork, it's not the same on tablet.

Anime is usually used for lighter stories; I like the Frank Frazetta idea! His art almost reminds me of the Batman films.

Yeah, I think I'm leaning towards Frank as well.
It has some humor but it's usually irony or used to cause a sense of literary foreplay.
I'll be posting the pics here either way but will have to make sure I don't put them up before releasing the events.

And it could take even longer than that. I have quite a bit of the story written, but in script form. Now I have to rewrite it into a book.
I had a feeling I should have just written it normally but I had my heart set on graphic novel.
I am working on it though and I think I may take a page by page release approach to add to the suspense of reading it while I write it. Always nice to be able to say, "You think it's bad waiting for the second book to come out? I had to wait for every bloody page of the first one!"

Yep, it'll be a good old fashion picture book...only violent...and more confusing...and some profanity.
Everything is still very open but I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going for.

I've put it on hold.
It's a pic with my daughter in it and it gives me the creeps so I need to go check on her constantly while I work on it. Well she's in Toronto till Thursday and there's no way I'm going to be able to check on her from here, not without waking her and the wife up.
Anyhow, Thursday I continue it.

I used 8 different photographs layered and erased what i did not want.
The first one I made [link] was a bit easier since the light was from the bathroom light but this one was a bit harder since alot of the reflections were based on the light from the window meaning I was limited by time. Luckily it wasn't a sunny day or I would have really had to work hard on the lighting.

Ahh...you found it.
It was supposed to mirror the scissors on the other side but I leaned forward too much and did not want to risk wrecking the picture by cut and pasting them forward a bit.
