Looks great and a very effective result.
But 3 hours? Wow.
How did you do it? For this type of effect, I just take the image, copy and paste various sections of the image into new layers. Adjust sizes of various layers to random sizes. Then add a stroke to each layer of about 3px. Then creatively use the gaussian blur tool. I can normally do a very accurate panaoramic version of this in 30-45 minutes.

I know when I was staring out, it took me two years to "step foot" into Photoshop I found it so daunting. I feel quite comfortable with it now, but its incredible how may features you discover even after using it for years. Even seasoned pros are still discovering what it can do. It's powerful stuff. Trust me, it was a bitch... and it's not even accurate, considering that it has a somewhat "abstract" look to it.
See, I know alot of Photoshop tricks, but not enough to do things quickly and efficiently. If some "master" were to come to me, they'd be like, "You know that you could have just done this and it would have taken you a quarter of the time..."
