Description

Characters: Inuyasha and Kagome (from inuyasha), and Ranma girl (from Ranma 1/2)
Main idea concept by ; Final idea, and illustration concepts by
Tools: Snowman Drawing pen 0,1 and 0,2; Standard ballpoint AE7 S 0,5; Pilot polymer leads 0,5 (Mechanic pencil); Steadtler pencil 2B; Steadtler eraser.

It’s finally finish.   But, after finish. it looks like the cover of Doujinshi or Funfic.....probably excessive title. I hope, i’m not out of main concept because someone make me bad mood.  First, so many difficult on it. Actually, first time i draw Inuyasha, Kagome and Ranma girl. I really take the risks (and doing crazy drawing). I also trying best for the flowers (Roses), i never draw so many Roses before. But i’ll do my best. And i feel sick with “Kimono/ something like Japanese traditional clothes”. So, i search so many references in CLAMP artworks. I hope you like it.......

I think this is important to know. References/ inspired: Inuyasha (manga, for inuyasha detail); CLAMP artworks (for so many type kimono, i feel so sick with it), Rose 1Rose 2Rose 3  for flowers and Sculpture Ornaments of Mataram  from Indonesia.

I wrote it in the description >> sketchbook paper A3, Snowman Drawing pen 0.1 and 0.2; Standard ballpoint AE7 S 0.5 (ordinary ballpens used to write XD); Pilot polymer leads 0.5 (for Mechanic pencil); Steadtler (pencil>2B); Steadtler eraser.

it is very cheap and easily available in my country. it sounds like drawing for doodle hehe. but actually,i don't need expensive tool to make something beautiful.

Oh lol you only used pens¿? If I use that never will be this black it's more grey or something ._. but well it is incredible *^*
Yes xD It's what I use more frequently with sketches and all and for shapes(?¿?) but then I do the lineart with a pen or (fine point?¿?¿) for coloring I usually use markers I love how I do the hair 8'D (?)

astgart In reply to Nuahh [2014-08-08 15:01:48 +0000 UTC]

hehe, I use a pen with a pressure difference on my hands. if you push a little too soft they will be. otherwise, if you press firmly, they will too. it was game pressure on the pen
then I use two different types of pen, because pen character also varies.
final touch, I used my pencil back, for the more gray ... it was looks magical when pen and pencil together. usually, pencil lineart removed and replaced by a pen, but I do not always do it. XD

I also use markers for color. I mix it with colored pencils. You can see it in my gallery ^^

astgart In reply to Nuahh [2014-08-08 15:19:26 +0000 UTC]

yeah, right, i use it for many uses XDD
I use a kind of non-Aquarel for colored pencils. I used markers for color basically. when it was is completed, the surface of paper will slippery like there are waxy/ plastic.
many people do not believe it if I just use markers and colored pencils
many people surprised when it touched my artwork> them slippery XD

astgart In reply to Pikapal09 [2014-08-08 10:31:57 +0000 UTC]

i agree with you....
I'm not Japanese, I also never wear that and I very rarely draw it too.... hard for me to describe every detail. so I am very grateful to the CLAMP's artwork. I saw at least some basic for drawing it.
