Reference A better shot of the colour of the background/fabric, more turquoise. Could not correct it in photoshop without altering the other colours.Dont bother favoring , will scrap it later, just wanted to show the difference in colour.

it certainly was a busy design with all those dragonflies, the sheen and metallic thread, trying to make a composition was a challenge, the fabric allows no room for error

I honestly think this is a better shot than the first one; keep this one instead! Especially if it shows the true color of the fabric.

thankyou very much for your advice, I think I will keep both as the other one has all the fav's. It can be difficult to decide which is the better shot ( particularly as I am such a perfectionist) I am pleased you appreciate the playfulness, which what I was after

I think the colours are so exquisite anyway......I love the kittens so much...They look so inquisitive...(.like kittens are)wouldn't they just love all those dragonflies!...............I'm drooling over the dragonflies...I would love to live in dragonfly land

thanks, it was a challenge working with all these dragonflies and making a composition that worked, let alone working with the limitations of the fabric (not much room for error). Clawed would be in heaven if this was real. Do you have a dragonfly icon?

I think you could keep this one, 'cause the kittens are clearer (easier to see) and the difference in colour isn't too big.

thankyou for your advice, it was the patchiness that I didnt like, didnt realise the kittens were clearer ( will have a look). I am such a perfectionist about getting the colour right and with this shiny surface its impossible. Its a painting that has to be seen in reality as it changes continually because of the metallic gold thread and sheen of the fabric.
