Probably there was no need for the bubbles,as cats do a lot of sitting about in flowers and I think the cat is well integrated with the fabric design, the whole thing looks very integrated the bubbles were unneeded.

thankyou very much for taking the time to critique.
I agree with you that the blank space was a dilemma, I was thinking of a branch but then decided on a line and that is why I added the bubbles hoping that would solve the problem.
The bubbles were again another problem the more I painted them the more they looked liked solid balls which is why I simplified them as I need the fabric to show to make them appear transparent.
The challenge I have with the fabric is combining realism with design and also the limitations of the fabric surface, which cannot be erased because of the shine.
Thanks again for your constructive comments as you have picked up the problems I was dealing with and will now see if I can solve them or move onto the next one.

This is stunning! It was a great idea to paint it on decorative fabric adding a unique twist to something as common as a cat portrait. I love how you painted some of the flower design from the background on top of the cat. It must be quite a site to see in person

wow I love this!!! there's something really interesting happening with the depth, like you can feel the floral patterns are surrounding the cat, not just around the sides, but the front and top, it's almost 3d or something. this is really interesting, and the string is a nice touch, it adds to that airy, floaty feel.

thanks Andrew, this was very difficult to photograph as it changes from different angles because of the shiny fabric.
