24 x 14 inch (65 x 35 cm) Dry PastelI did some commission work for a client of his wife, and I just loved this photo of her relaxing with the pup after numerous sessions of chemo and radiation. A much loved wife and mother.
This version is in my own collection and an experiment in using looser mark making and exaggerating the stretch of the figure to give the feeling of relaxation and rest.

She looks so relaxed and so beautifully peaceful!!I love the blue and the loose painting of the flowers....They don't detract your eyes from her figure...or the sweet little dog!!

cats do seem to be a very popular animal, wolves imagery appear to be a popular subject matter too.

There are alot of dogs in the U.K but more cats I think!!
I must admit I do like Alsations very much and they are so wolflike!.....
but.....I just love cats so much!!
