I've recently taken up something of an obsession with cowboys and western-related stuff. I owe that to Stephen King's Dark Tower series and movies like 3:10 To Yuma. Something about that nitty gritty old fashioned-ness is just way too awesome.

I was brainstorming for some fresh ideas after giving up on a different cowboy painting and this wonderful idea about a skydiving gunslinger sort of drifted into my head. I decided I could really only do the idea justice by painting it on a giant 2' x 4' canvas. I've gone and fiddled away with the clouds and sky way too much though and I dare not touch it anymore! In any case, I'm rather satisfied.

The title is inspired by possibly one of the funniest Simpson sketches ever. I have never seen the original film or musical production of the same name.
