Description
I really dig japanese history and mythology. I had an idea for this scene in my head where a lone warrior dismounts his horse and goes to face this horrifying demon in the middle of an ancient forest. Is it a personal score he needs to settle? A metaphor for confronting one's own demons?During a local street art festival, I had this piece on display. A street person walked by and told me "I feel like that guy.... confronting an external demon...."
I think that the true meaning is up for interpretation, decided by the eye of the beholder.
I had a lot of fun painting it.

oooooooh, well, the samurai was a pretty easy paint, but big old monster-face took several hours of work to get all the detailing done. totally worth it tho!
