4th attempt at painting a mermaid. Interesting enough, the one that actually worked out, you can't see her tail.

After a lot of frustrating failures, I painted over what I had on the canvas just to cover it up. Later on, to my disbelief, I started to see her profile take shape out of the scribbled lines of paint.

I still think it was divine intervention that gave me the boost I needed to finally finish this piece.

She has a look of longing to her, as if she's trying to remember something or waiting for someone. I'm sure we can all relate.
