I'm not sure what scene this is. Probably when Coraline was looking for the ghost lives.. and the other mother was secretly following her around, invisible.

The movie is great, you should watch it.

Wow. And I thought the Other Mother's base form with her button eyes was creepy enough...

The design of her pretty much demonstrates the downright eerie nature in a realm where all is not what it seems, as Coraline found out soon enough.

Visualizing her button eyes while reading the book made me tingle. o_o

I think what made the book good was that you can imagine the appearance of the monster easily, and you translated it well.

Wow, what an interesting take on the characters. It's so rare to see someone actually incorporate their own style into Fan Art. Not a lot to criticize here...I absolutely love the color scheme, and the textures you achieved with the watercolors. While I know this is primarily based on your own vision of the story, I think the neck of the Other Mother could have been fused to the head a little more convincingly...as it is, it sort of looks like it's just plunging into her scalp. Otherwise, this is superb.

i can see what you're saying about the Other Mothers head. i actually did have difficulty getting the angle right. obviously, i gave up trying to get it right. thank you so much for the comment. it means a lot to me.

I have. The movie looks incredibly different from the Dave McKean illustrations though. But it's still good, from what I've heard.
