YAY!

I didn't know about the premie bloom thing. Those are in this huge pot outside the hotel and it was really dark, hard to shoot. I would do it differently now. Funny you would comment on this--I was just talking to my mom yesterday about Ennis, and The Temple Gate hotel. My brother had a pic I took of him in Brogan's Pub as his Facebook wall picture. We were reminiscing about the trip, the food, the fun.

Seeing this picture again, I remember it was evening & had been very soft (rain showers) that day. We were leaving to head down O'Connell (our family name) Street and have dinner at Brogan's. My brother said they had wonderful food. Only problem was--the Trad Festival (traditional Irish music festival) was on that week and the place was packed. Idk how he managed to get us a hotel room. We wanted a snug, but all of them were taken so we took an open table in the waaaaayyy back room. Oh the food was good, the Guinness was fresh and the music brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. It was the quintessential Irish pub evening. Everyone was in a great mood, the crowd energizing the musicians, and the musicians giving it all back to the crowd. The set would end--a couple of musicians would leave to wander down the street to the next place, and a few new ones would join in. Very cool, very Irish.
