Hey guys!So this is just a tutorial I made (sorry if it's not very good) about how to set up your 'Webcam' Widget. I just learned this myself today and one of my friends asked me so I figured I'd make this to help with others in the future who are trying to learn how to do it. I hope that this helps and please let me know what you guys think in the comments!

this is getting worse and worse, its bad enough that premium members have a ton of features, now they took a basic feature from us basic users, effing annoying and downright stupid!we loved our webcam, it was the one thing that made it worth having a profile on this damn site, meh, too lazy to upload anymore, so meh to DA >_> besides, this just screams 'in order to get the full experience of DA, you have to pay for it!' uh yeah, NO! fuck DA! we basic members have less features as it is, and then they go and rip another one away from us

It's really getting out of hand - like if they were really this committed, why not just make it only 'Premium Members' since that's all they seem to care about.
I know, right?! It's really getting to be a place I don't know if I want to be part of, if the recent left turn is anything to go by. It's crazy, I'm just hoping that they stop taking things away from us.
The site originated (or so I thought) so that 'poor' artists (aka people who DIDN'T have money) could go to promote themselves in the hopes of FINDING money. Now it doesn't seem like it.

getting to the point that we stopped uploading, honestly, just when we finally get a webcam gif that we like up, DA takes it away and says 'oh, sorry premium members only' but we cant afford that, already have to maintain a cell phone plan, sigh, big corporations like this only care about money, they could care less about the consumer.. plus, a lot of people say they are trying to copy facebook with the added widgets they have out now, and gotta say, yes they are. It's getting to the point where contemplating leaving DA for good, but, eh, might as well keep it for simply browsing's sake, its becoming less of a joy to be on here and instead becoming more frustrating, seriously, widgets like the webcam thing was supposed to be for EVERYONE, not exclusively premium members, but like we said, they're more interested in the money they can squeeze out of people, than the people themselves, this site is becoming more and more hollow and soulless, more evidently at least, meaning if it wasnt showing before, it sure is now

I wouldn't know - because I don't have Facebook. but yeah, they're definitely going in a direction that many people don't like.
But yeah, that's true, I'd probably keep it or browsing sake. And yeah, it's getting to the point with all these widgets are getting ridiculous.
And yeah, it kind of suck's that they've become so.....obsessed with getting money. Which I kind of understand because like, without it they wouldn't be able to keep the site up and running, right?
But still, like c'mon guys!

needing money? sure, but to lean so heavily on people getting a premium account, when a lot of people cant, sigh, can personally count myself among the many who cant afford a premium membership, mainly have it for browsing if need be yep, my problem with it, taking the latest widget, the webcam thing, is that finally got it to how i wanted it, and then they take it away the next day, at first just thought it was a glitch or something, and refreshed the page, but then, looked around and found out that its going to premium members, just sad and annoying, not even sure what all non-premium members have anymore

Yeah, I know what you mean. And sorry for the late reply, DA was being all weird and kept freezing every other time I tried logging in. :/
But yes, it is annoying/doesn't make much sense, but that's the only 'nice' reason I could think of.

right now, not happy with facebook, as many others may feel like right now, will post a journal, sigh, if there was ever a reason to leave facebook, this latest bs is what seals that

now neither do we, they did lockouts, ironically for security reasons, but they did it wrong, and wont be surprised if others delete their facebook accounts, facebook is just meh, plus never really did much with it, you know? it was useless

Yes, I found out that DA changed it, so now only people who have a Premium Membership can use it.
I'm not sure why they changed it (probably just to piss us off) but they did. :/
They've been doing a lot of 'fixes' and updates to the site, and unfortunately this just so happened to be one of them.

Fortunately, I've discovered that they changed it so that only Premium Members can have the Webcam on their Profile.

Yeah. But what I didn't realize is that people would put pictures on their and to me I never used it cause (to me), I just didn't have anything to put it on there unfortunately. But when I watched a tutorial, now I realize I miss seeing those.

And plus, most of the apps (or widgits on DA) are only available to Premium (which I feel is crazy).
