Ember has always been my favorite character--I love her spunk here. I always thought it was remarkable how Wendy could capture the similarity in personalities between relatives... Rayek/Venka, Suntop and Leetah, without them seeming too similar or contrived. Beautiful piece.

I have to ask though... what book is this from? my mom has a stack of old elfquest comics from when she was younger, and I love reading them, but Ember was just a 'pup' then

I have every single piece of material ever printed by WaRP, and they did a lot of titles, so sadly I cannot remember what cover this is from. It was a spin off, not the main EQ comic. I have hundreds of printed pieces, and I did this about 10 years ago and just have no idea; I'd have to look thru all my stuff, which I can't do right now, it's all in storage. Look here: [link] and see if you can find it amongst the thousands of comics WaRP has done ^___^

Thank you! I can't remember which cover it is, either. It was from an EQ offshoot. I stopped buying them in 1995 but I have everything WaRP ever made up to that point!

I'm trying to get the colored ones! I actually got a hard cover book, a recent on that Wendi Pini did ...I think it was called "The Sword and the Searcher" and it was about Treestump making iron and Shuna trying to reconnect with the human. Very good and I absolutely LOVE the art.
